Breathe. Let Go.

  • Life's metaphors are God's instructions.
  • You have just climbed up and above the roof. There is nothing between you and infinite. Now let go.
  • The day is ending. It is now time for something beautiful to turn into something else that is beautiful. Now let go.
  • Your wish for resolution was a prayer. You being here is God's response. Let go and watch the stars come out - on the outside and on the inside.
  • With all your heart, ask for grace and let go.
  • With all your heart, forgive him, forgive yourself and let go.
  • Let your intention be freedom from useless suffering. Then let go.
  • Watch the heat of the day pass into cool night. Let go.
  • When the karma of a relationship is done, only love remains. It's safe. Let go.
  • When the past has passed from you at last, let go. Then climb down and begin the rest of your life. With great joy.

This is so true. When i read the book, these words stayed with me as well. It reinforces a harsh truth for a broken heart - that no matter what, the strength or solution to get over the heart break is within you. There is nothing beyond you that can enter the lanes of your heart and pluck away the sadness. You need to plunge deeper into your mind and clean up the mess left behind by the relationship you once cherished. If there is dirt on your bedroom floor, the beauty of your living room or your bathroom does not change that rt? You still need to see the dirt on the bedroom floor when you come back to your room, which you will at some point of time. On the same lines, no matter which fancy vacation you may take or how much you immerse yourself in work or how many movies you watch or how many books you live through, at the end of the day when you go to bed, its only your heart, your broken heart, that remains with you. You have to nurse it. Touch, but it simply gotta be done. And such tremendous efforts is the last thing you wanna tell your broken heart to take.
